"Armed and Jewish" is a relatively recent section within "Jews For The Preservation Of Firearms Ownership" (JPFO), a site dedicated to protecting not only the Second Amendment, but also the entire Bill of Rights by educating about "gun control" and Constitution rights.

By interviewing Jewish people who are gun oriented we find out what motivates their thinking, as well as perhaps also finding out what they think about the alarming numbers of Jews who are rabidly anti-gun, in particular those Jews who wield political power. Does history teach nothing?

The "Armed and Jewish" section is still in its relatively early days but over time it is hoped to increase features on this theme, the better to understand the dichotomy between the pro-gun and anti-gun groups in the Jewish community.

Currently we have these following items available for perusal …

1) - JPFO is fortunate enough to have as its Rabbinic Director, Rabbi Dovid Bendory, who also has his own site - The Gun Rabbi. This is a man who is no compromize about the ability to embrace firearms as a means of self defense, within "G-d’s Laws" and not within Man’s distorted Laws. Kirby Ferris, JPFO's Research Director interviews the Rabbi, to learn more about his approach to firearms and ownership.

2) - JPFO’s current Executive Director, Charles Heller is also interviewed by Kirby ferris and states his case in quite some detail.

3) - Finally, for now, (the late) Kirby Ferris discusses with Candice Dainty the ins and outs of a Jewish lady’s support for Jewish firearms ownership. Candy has her own web site "Jewish Women Supporting Gun Ownership" and succinctly describes her history and approach to guns.

As and when new articles on this theme occur, the page will be updated.

On the theme of anti-gun Jews and the apparent lack of learning from history, it is suggested you watch an award winning film produced by JPFO, " No Guns for Jews", which goes into great detail to analyze the many aspects of this contentious subject. Read also -- "Why Jews Hate Guns"
